Born in 1961 Granada, received his M.S. degree in Maths (Statistics) in 1984. He read his Ph. D. Thesis in 1988 in Characterization and study of fuzzy measures and integrals through probabilities and became Lecturer in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence in 1991 and Professor in 2007. He is member of the Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (DECSAI) and the Uncertainty Treatment in Artificial Intelligence research group (UTAI), at the Computer Engineering School ( E.T.S. de Ingenierías Informática y de Telecomunicación ) of the University of Granada. His current areas of research interest are: Numerical Representations of Uncertainty, Bayesian Networks, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval and Recommender Systems.
